The Empty Quarter is based on a Shiraz/ Mourvedre/ Grenache co-ferment. Post ferment some Montepulciano is added to provide some additional aromatic lift. Dark cherry , with dark cocoa and sweet sage flower. Cured meats and aniseed spice followed by some cool blue fruits. The palate has a soft entry framed by very fine tannins, lovely lick of fresh acid keep the palate fresh and long. Red and dark fruits, some graphite like notes add intrigue. Then rosehip and turkish delight.
